The Northern New Jersey Region is the link between more than 25 Men's Clubs from Conservative synagogues in New Jersey and Staten Island to the Federation of Jewish Men's Clubs [FJMC], which serves more than 200 affiliated Clubs in the United States, Canada, Israel and Uganda along with the Masorti communities of the United Kingdom and France. Together, we strive to increase the level of participation in synagogue life, Jewish observance and brotherhood among our members. We do this by sharing ideas and pooling our talents and resources.

"Working Together...

black silver logoWe strongly encourage our clubs to participate in our Region-wide events which occur throughout the year between our “book-end” events: The Man/Youth of The Year Dinner, which is scheduled in December and the Presidents’ Dinner held in the late spring. NNJR works to help our Clubs in various ways:

  • NNJR offers member clubs a Speakers Bureau to enrich their programs and provide subsidy to defray costs.
  • NNJR strongly in its power to build camaraderie and provide Club leaders with great ideas to make their Clubs even better.
  • NNJR facilitates our clubs’ participation in the Yom HaShoah Yellow Candle™ Program to help communities commemorate Jewish victims of the Holocaust. Let’s all stand against hatred and bigotry.
  • NNJR provides resources to help Clubs and their synagogues meet critical community issues such as the role of men as fathers and members/leaders of Conservative synagogues, as well as issues related to Social Injustice and ideas for keeping clubs afloat during difficult times (like the COVID-19 pandemic).
